It was a little hard to photograph so I just did sections of it - I ran out of white so didn't get the full 30" but it's close...

The Common Thread
Twelve quilters from eleven different states come together to sew in a virtual quilting bee.
How it Works
- Each Quilter is assigned a month
- That quilter picks out their fabric, purchases it, cuts it into smaller portions and sends it to the 12 other quilters
- They also include directions to each of the 12 other quilters as to what they would like the blocks to be like
- The 12 quilters do the stitching
- The finished blocks get mailed back to the quilter of that month
- The quilter then assembles their blocks into a finsihed quilt
- The process starts again!

it arrived in the mail yesterday and i LOVE it! The fabrics are perfect and seeing it in real life helps me to visualize what this quilt will really look like and i think I'm going to like it even more than I like my sketch. thanks, amber! If anyone else finds themselves running short on white fabric, I can send more. or if you want to throw in some of your own white (even if it's not a perfect match) that's okay with me too. I'm also just fine with getting less than 30", so whatever floats your boat. thank you!!

Im going on three years now of wanting to sew a quilt. I ve gathered the fabric practiced sewing squares and still have yet to find the courage to tackle a whole quilt. I love to look in at all the beautiful quilts being made here.
