I don't think they are "sad" at all - calming and soothing is more like it.
I loved the color pallette and so I got right into sewing.
I made two since she sent so much fabric - hope that's ok!

The Common Thread
Twelve quilters from eleven different states come together to sew in a virtual quilting bee.
How it Works
- Each Quilter is assigned a month
- That quilter picks out their fabric, purchases it, cuts it into smaller portions and sends it to the 12 other quilters
- They also include directions to each of the 12 other quilters as to what they would like the blocks to be like
- The 12 quilters do the stitching
- The finished blocks get mailed back to the quilter of that month
- The quilter then assembles their blocks into a finsihed quilt
- The process starts again!

my first reaction was "whoa!" my second reaction was "that's awesome." and my third reaction was, "oh my gosh, that's my fabric and those are for me!"
I totally love them both! and thanks for the bonus block!
I love these fabrics (and I love the picture that inspired them). It's going to be a fantastic quilt and I can't wait to see the completed project.
These are so beautiful and look really sophisticated. Great combination of right angles and great colors. And your seems are impeccable.
