The Common Thread
Twelve quilters from eleven different states come together to sew in a virtual quilting bee.
How it Works
- Each Quilter is assigned a month
- That quilter picks out their fabric, purchases it, cuts it into smaller portions and sends it to the 12 other quilters
- They also include directions to each of the 12 other quilters as to what they would like the blocks to be like
- The 12 quilters do the stitching
- The finished blocks get mailed back to the quilter of that month
- The quilter then assembles their blocks into a finsihed quilt
- The process starts again!

both blocks are great! hope you're whipping that sewing machine into shape...i'm having to talk nice to mine every day to keep it going.
Very nice! Now let's hope the postman doesn't steal the finished product.
nice clean lines. i'm oddly attracted to the two-butted, no-headed bird thing happening on the far right side of the block.... does that seem macabre of me? it's like a reverse "push-me, pull-you" from Dr. Doolittle.
