Two Blocks for Jacquie
Jacquie's block assignment was exactly why I wanted to participate in a quilting bee in the first place. It totally pushed me out out of my comfort zone and to be honest, making a block that an 18 year old guy would like really scared me. I ended up doing a couple of google image searches for minimalist and modern and saw a lot of great architectural inspiration. I hope I got it right. There was also enough fabric for me to make two blocks instead of one.
I hope you both like them!

eeeekkkk!!! they're wonderful! i'm so thrilled with all of the blocks everyone's been making. love the angle's in the blocks! ....and you're right an 18 year old boy is a tough client...but these blocks hit the mark!
I agree, the angle is great. I love the line of dots on the first one!
Can you tell me the maker of your paint-by-number fabric? My quilt stores around here do not understand what I am looking for and I would love to make a quilt with it. Thanks for your help! pleintexasgirl@yahoo.com
love love love the diagonals on your blocks. They totally remind me of 60s-70s houses
