Waste Not...Want Not

When I opened the package that held the fabric gems that Amber sent, the first thing I noticed was that some of them had wonderful pieces of the selvedge printing on them. I knew right away that I wanted to incorporate them into the block. I hope that works for you Amber. It's pretty straight (at least for me). I thought wonky might be too much with all the fun fabric. I attempted to feature the little horse too...cut off his nose a bit, but he's still a player in the block. Thanks for all the fun fabric (i'm sorry I didn't get to use it all)...it was great to play with!

Oh my gosh - I absolutely LOVE it! It is so cute and I can't believe I get to keep it :-)

I don't mind at all that you didn't use all the fabric - that was my plan...send a bunch and let you guys all pick what you wanted to use.

I want everyone to keep all the extras...maybe you can use them in a fun project of your own.

I stumbled on your site and saw all your beautiful quilt work. I want to start sewing and making quilts, but i don't even have a machine. I don't want to spend a HUGE chunk of money on a machine that will be to complicated for a beginner, but neither do i want to spend $100 on a beginner machine if its not going to work well for quilting. Do you have any recommendations for machines? HELP!
